Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana: Percentage of women recipients under this scheme

The Pradhan Mantri Mudra Loan Yojana has disbursed Rs 33 million. Women recipients account for 68% of the scheme’s beneficiaries. These women are mostly from the SC, ST, and minority communities. The recipient of a Mudra loan will get a Mudra card. The beneficiary may use this Mudra card the same way a debit card is used. The recipient will be free to withdraw funds from ATMs based on their needs using the Mudra card. Pradhan Mantri Mudra loan scheme accomplishment in 6 years

  • Pradhanmantri Mudra Loan Yojana has granted Rs 14.96 lakh crore loans to 28.68 recipients throughout the previous six years. This programme created an extra 1.12 crore employment between 2015 and 2018.
  • Because of the Pradhan Mantri Loan Yojana, small businesses have been boosted. A total of 4.20 crore people received loans from the government in the fiscal year 2020-21.
  • The Pradhan Mantri Mudra Loan Yojana was responsible for 88 per cent of Shishu loans. Loans were given to 24 per cent of new business owners. 68 per cent was allocated to women, and 51 per cent was allocated to people from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Backward Classes. Subvention of 2% interest to Shishu category recipients

The shutdown was implemented last year as a result of the coronavirus outbreak. The government launched the campaign “Self-Reliant India” to re-energize the economy. It was agreed to grant a 2 percent interest subsidy to borrowers belonging to the Shishu category who applied for loans under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Loan Yojana.

Because of the coronavirus infection, the Reserve Bank granted authority to halt debt repayments last year. After the moratorium period has expired, all borrowers covered by the interest subvention plan will benefit from the scheme. The duration of this benefit is one year.
