PSPCL: Register and pay electricity bills online in Punjab

The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) is a government-owned organisation in Punjab which is responsible for the generation and distribution of electrical power. It used to be known as the Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB). However, on April 16, 2010, the government of Punjab split the PSEB into two separate companies: the Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd. (PSPCL) and the Punjab State Transmission Corporation Ltd. (PSTCL).

PSPCL: Bill payment options

PSPCL offers a wide variety of electronic payment options for customers to choose from when paying their electricity bills. Net-Banking, debit/credit cards, mobile wallets, BBPS, UPI, Bharat QR, EBPP and RTGS/NEFT are among the many options available for making payments in India.

You may use the PSPCL’s online payment options and rapid payment options by visiting the website.

EBPP

With your consumer identification number, you may sign up for your bank’s EBPP (Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment) mode on their website or app. The amount of your bill will be electronically transferred from your bank account to the PSPCL bank account after your registration has been completed successfully.

Bharat QR code

Any mobile wallet or app equipped with a Bharat QR code may be used by you to pay your energy spot bill using the Bharat QR code supplied to you by PSPCL, in two days after the date of the invoice,

RTGS/ NEFT

As long as you have the unique account number provided by PSPCL in the bill or quotation, you may make payments through RTGS or NEFT into it. After two days have elapsed after the law or quote was compiled.

  • To begin, go to the official PSPCL portal.

  • Head to the “Pay Bill” section on the homepage.   
  • You will see two options to pay bills. 
    • Through PSPCL website 
    • Through PSPCL App 
  • Click on “through PSPCL website”

  • A new page will open with a list of payment options.

  • Select the first option, i.e. “All consumers -Pay Bill-PSPCL”

  • You will now be redirected to a different page.
  • Enter your account number and then click the submit button.

  • After you have checked your information, click the “Pay Now” button to authenticate your payment details and start the procedure.
  • Following that, you will be sent to the payment page.
  • The payment acknowledgement message will appear on the screen after all of the processing of the payment has been finished.
  • A hard copy of the payment confirmation may be printed out by selecting the Print option on the menu.
  • Using these steps, you will be able to successfully pay your bill online.

Steps to apply for a new connection

  • To begin, go to the official  PSPCL portal.

  • Head to the “New Connection/Consumer Services” section on the homepage.

  • Click on the link, which will take you to a new page. 
  • Select the first option 1(a) under consumer services

  • You will be redirected to a login page. 
  • Click on “Sign Up First” marked in red text.

  • A “create new account” box will open where you have to enter all the relevant details, such as your mobile number and email id.

  • Click “next” to successfully apply for a new connection, an application form will be opened in which you must provide all of the necessary information.

The PSPCL  app is available both on the Android Play Store and App Store. To download: 

For Android Play Store 

  • Go to the play store. 
  • Type “PSPCL Consumer Services ” 
  • Simply select the first application that shows up. 
  • Click on “install” to successfully download the app.  

For Apple App Store 

  • Go to the app store. 
  • Type “PSPCL Consumer Services ” 
  • Simply select the first application that shows up. 
  • Click on “install” to successfully download the app.

How do I sign up for a new connection account?

The customer can apply for the connection at the subdivisional office that is concerned. Customers with a demand of 100 KW or more may submit their applications online using the Single window interface on the PSPCL website.

Under what circumstances would a separate residence be permitted to have a second electric connection?

A second electric connection could be provided to a legitimate resident in situations where a single housing unit has been subdivided and when there is both a separate kitchen and a separate entrance to the house.

The duplicate bill can be obtained by the consumer from the relevant Sub Division. The PSPCL website also offers a downloadable version of the bill.
