Gomukhi plots or cow-faced plots are considered very lucky for residential use, as the shape represents a cow, symbolising the best of everything. However, buyers need to make sure that the broad part should be in the north-east direction while the road should be on the southern or the western side. Also, the narrower part should not be in the north-east corner. A gaomukhi plot with a narrow part in the east and with a road in front, is considered inauspicious.
