What is the Hapur-Pilkhuwa Development Authority?
The Uttar Pradesh Government set up the Hapur and Pilkhuwa Development Authority (HPDA) in 1996-97 as a second independent authority to the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA).
The organisation oversees all development, including land use and infrastructure for the cities of Hapur and Pilkhuwa and a sizable number of surrounding villages, all of which are located on the National Highway 24 (NH-24). With HPDA’s constant oversight over the cities and villages, there is a great possibility that the Hapur-Pilkhuwa region will become a developed part of NCR soon.
