Important point: PF number and UAN
Your PF number is not the same as your UAN. The PF number is a 22-digit alphanumeric number given to each employee in a company that offers PF benefits. On the other hand, the UAN or Universal Account Number is a 12-digit umbrella ID, allotted to all eligible employees by the EPFO. One member can have multiple PF numbers but only one UAN.
