West Bengal ration card: Eligibility, registration process and download

You may submit an application for a ration card in West Bengal if you are from the below the poverty line (BPL) category or slightly over the above poverty line (APL) group. Registration process for West Bengal ration card

Online

  • Go to West Bengal’s Department of Food and Supplies’ official website.
  • The link ‘Application Form for Non-Subsidised Ration Card or Conversion to Non-Subsidised Ration Card’ may be found at the bottom of the page. Click on it.
  • Another window will pop up, asking you for your 10-digit mobile phone number.
  • You will get a one-time password (OTP) through text message to the phone number you provided. Select “VALIDATE” after entering the OTP.
  • If you are a current ration card holder, you will need to choose one of the following options: 
  1. AAY
  2. PHH
  3. SPHH
  4. RKSY-I
  5. RKSY-II Card

When applying for your first ration card, you do not have to choose any of the choices above.

  • Select one of the alternatives if you are an established consumer and want to convert your digital card to non-subsidised ration cards.
  • After that, you’ll need to fill in the:
  • District
  • Block/municipality
  • Gramme panchayat
  • Post office
  • Police station
  • Street lane number
  • PIN Code
  • Email address
  • Ration card number 

To see the information, click on the ‘DISPLAY’ button.

  • The information about your members of the family will be shown on the screen. Once you’ve selected the card members you want to convert to a non-subsidised ration card, you may click on the ‘View Selected List’ button to see the list.
  • The next step is to input your personal information, such as: 
  1. Date of birth
  2. Aadhaar number
  3. EPIC number
  4. PAN number 

Then click ‘Save and View.’

  • After that, you’ll need to double-check your information and the declaration form. After you’ve finished adding everything up, click the Submit button. A confirmation notice will appear on your screen after your application has been completed.
  • If you are a first-time applicant, you must choose the New Applicant – No Ration Card option on the screen.
  • Enter the following details:
  • District
  • Block/municipality
  • Gramme panchayat
  • Post office
  • Police station
  • Street lane number
  • PIN Code
  • Email address
  • Paper category 

Then choose the Fair Price Shop/ Ration Dealer details.

  • After that, you will be prompted to provide your personal information, which includes:
  1. Date of birth
  2. Aadhaar number
  3. EPIC number (only if applicable)
  4. Email ID
  5. PAN Number

After inputting the requested information about your parents, click the button labelled “Show Member.” Unless you’re the most senior member of your family, go to the “relationship” section and choose “Head” from the drop-down menu. You have the option to click on “Add Family Members,” after which you may fill in the necessary information, such as the member’s name, the nature of their connection to you, their age, and so on. To see the information, choose the “Show Member” option.

  • Click the button labelled “Save and View Application” once you have finished adding all of the members.
  • Check that the declaration form is correct, as well as all of the details that you have provided. After you have completed the summary, click the “Submit” button. The application form that you filled out will be successfully sent in, and an acknowledgement message will be displayed on your screen once it has been processed.

Offline

Visit the local Seva Kendra or distribution outlet with all of the required documentation. You will be required to fill out the application form and submit it along with relevant documents needed for verification.

After that, your papers will be checked. If it is determined that they are legitimate, the updated ration card is sent to the location you provided for correspondence. You may also acquire a hard copy of the application form, which you can then fill out after downloading it online. After that has been taken care of, you will be able to bring the paperwork with you to the local Seva Kendra to get it processed.
