Rustomjee has announced an association with globally-renowned home furnishing and accessories brand IKEA India, to deliver affordable furnished homes at its project, Global City, Virar west. This will be the first IKEA-designed and furnished show flat in Mumbai and India. IKEA will furnish 1,200 apartments at Global City, with its stylish, cost-effective and environment-friendly furniture. The prices of the one and two-BHK homes, will start at Rs 34 lakhs, excluding taxes.

Speaking about the tie-up, Boman R Irani, chairman and director, Rustomjee Group, said: “Global City at Virar, is a project that has been designed with the common man in mind, at aspirational price points. We have left no stone unturned, to make it a self-sufficient city. Our association with IKEA is made special by the fact that not only is it the first of its kind in Mumbai and India, but that IKEA shares our vision of making homes for the common man.”

Other amenities at Rustomjee’s Global City, which is located 1.5 kms from the railway station, include a club house, a gymnasium, yoga, aerobics and dance hall, etc.
