It could even be fatal if it fell into the wrong hands. Luke Skywalker needed to locate this treasure quickly before anyone from the dark side catches it.
The plot is quite simple and on a much smaller scale than the original film. Although the book’s tone is darker than Star Wars fans may be used to, it doesn’t diminish the story’s excitement.

The Council decided to pair Jedi Quinlan Vos and Asajj Ventress – a romantic relationship (a former Sith apprentice). They used Asajj Ventress’ hatred of Dooku to motivate her to take on her former Master if adequately prompted. Who will win the war to control the galaxy’s power between the Republic and Dark Side’s ruthless organization army? This new series featured excellent storytelling by Christie Golden.
Dark Disciple is a compelling story that addresses some of the more prominent themes of the Star Wars series in very personal terms. Christie Golden does an excellent job of fleshing out these popular characters and building tension for the last act.
The plotline against romance is composed in the modern writing style. It will appeal to fans who enjoy both Star Wars films and new writing styles.

He isolates the secret agent and holds her hostage, torturing her to learn more about Captain Phasma, the chrome-clad, barbarous Stormtrooper. As the book unfolds, we do not just find the connections between the spy and Cardinal, but we know more about the roots of Phasma and the events that led her to become who she is.

The new canon book
The galaxy is being sown with chaos by underworld kingpins, Imperial loyalists, and treacherous politicians.
Paradoxically, another one. IIRC, this is the very first novel of Star Wars that I read, or among those earliest. This legends canon centers on Leia and can be put around six years before The Force Awakens. This is a political book, and we view Senator Organa seeing that the seeds of dissent have been implanted in the New Republic, infighting is happening, and there is an increasing threat to the flames.
Leia Organa believed that the victory of the Rebellion defeated the Empire in the skies above Endor was the beginning of lasting peace. However, this hope seems distant after decades of infighting and partisan gridlock at the New Republic Senate.
Gray nails the voice and character of general Leia Organa so much so that I can hear Carrie Fisher narrating the book in my mind as I read this. Leia, now a respected senator must deal with the dangers to the fledgling democracy from both within and outside.. This book does a superb job describing the Republic’s political workings and the way things got to where they are earlier TFA. Bloodline is a critical and essential book for any Star Wars fan’s collection.
I Find Your Lack Of Faith Disturbing: Star Wars And The Triumph Of Geek Culture

Catalyst: A Rogue One book

I didn’t expect to enjoy this just as far as I did. That is a prequel to Rogue One and reveals only how Galen Erso’s scientific work attracted Orson Krennic. Krennic is about the top-secret Death Star project. Also, Erso’s scientific knowledge and projects are what he wants. The book details how Krennic shot Galen, Lyra, and Jyn along with the Republic. The Republic and Separatists tried to outwit one another, creating more and more deadly technology over time.
Though Galen considers he is doing something valuable that will be used once and for all, Lyra begins to suspect something distinct. Given that we did not get a lot of Lyra at Rogue One, I truly enjoyed seeing her personality develop in this book. If you enjoyed Rogue One, this isn’t to be overlooked.
Resistance Reborn

Yes, it has not come out yet. However, this remains on the record, damnit, since I like the Resistance and Rebellion, and I am super excited about that. Star Wars: The Rise of Kylo Ren

Charles Soule, the star Wars writer, set the world ablaze in anticipation of Star Wars: The Rise of Kylo Ren with a single tweet. This comic series follows the story of Ben Solo, a young man who is forced to deal with the manipulation and corruption of outside forces as he transforms from an eager Padawan into the dark leader of Knights of Ren.
Not only do Soule and Sliney paint a picture of young Ben’s evolution throughout this limited series, but they also introduce us to all of the Knights of Ren seen in The Rise of Skywalker, Ben’s fellow Padawans-in-training, and Jedi Master Luke Skywalker in a way that we’ve never seen him before.
The task of Soule in writing this book was enormous. It was almost impossible to imagine the pressure Soule had to put on his pen for the Sequel Trilogy’s origin story to be completed. But he delivered.
The Old Republic: Revan
Revan is also one of the best Star Wars books. It focuses on Revan as a conqueror, hero and traitor, villain and savior. Revan is a Starfighter that fled Coruscant to defeat the Mandalorians. Revan returned to the Republic as a disciple from the dark side, determined to destroy it. The Jedi Council saved his life, but he was left without any memories. Even though the Jedi Council erased his memories, his nightmares continued to haunt him, to the point that it caused him extreme fear. The story follows the first game’s main character as they attempt to discover more about their past and the bizarre nightmares that haunted them.
Heir To The Jedi
The new canon book
The Heir to Jedi is a new canon book that focuses exclusively on the Luke Skywalker saga. The story takes place between A New Hope & The Empire Strikes Back, as Luke struggles through Jedi training without a master and very few resources. There are many exciting twists and turns in the plot, with Luke trudging across the galaxy in classic Star Wars style. Although the pace is slow, it’s still a fun novel that feels like a Star Wars story.
The book is primarily about character studies, and Kevin Hearne uses them to show off his writing skills. This book seems to have gotten rid of the stoic, grizzled farm boy from A New Hope. He is replaced with a young man interested in his place in the broader struggle against the Empire. He doesn’t have a mentor to help him in his Jedi training. These insecurities make Luke more relatable and less like a Shakespearean archetype.
The book is primarily about a character study, and Kevin Hearne uses those skills to great effect.
Alphabet Squadron

There are many options when it comes to selecting the Star Wars book that you want to read. All the Star Wars books now cover the original, prequel, and sequel trilogies. The Legends also include the Old Republic, set thousands of years before the prominent films. The High Republic series of books will also be released by Disney starting in 2022. These will be charged 200 years before the main series. This is in addition to the crossovers from the TV show and comic book, so there’s a lot of ground covered.
