The Regional Centre for Urban and Environmental Studies (RCUES), Hyderabad, was established in 1970 at the Osmania University, via a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and Osmania University. It is responsible for research and training in urban governance of state governments, including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Meghalaya, Nagaland and the union territories of Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar.
