Karnataka property registration: Latest news
Following the footsteps of the Maharashtra government, the Karnataka state government, in November 2020, also reduced the property registration fee for flats costing less than Rs 20 lakhs, from 5% to 3%. The move is expected to boost the demand for affordable housing options in the state. The new registration rate will also apply to industries buying properties (building or land). According to industry experts, the rate cut will not affect many home buyers in cities like Bengaluru, as there are hardly any property options in this price range.
