Technical snag affects property registrations in Maharashtra

[ecis2016.org] Property registrations in Pune and other SROs in Maharashtra was hit by technical snag in server on August 25, 2022.

Maharashtra property registrations in Pune headquartered IGR Maharashtra and across the state’s other sub-registrar offices  (SROs) came to a halt after the public data entry system (PDES) developed a technical snag.

According to HT, while the Pune-headquartered IGR Maharashtra office claimed that it was a one-day issue, the snag affected work for some hours after which it was rectified.

Pune city has 27 SROs where stamp duty and registration charges in Maharashtra are made

and citizens pointed out very slow or no service at these offices owing to the technical snag. Property registration at SROs at Guruwar peth and Vishrantwadi was very slow but at Chandannagar SRO, it was impacted entirely with no services.

People’s sentiments stressed that issues like data entry, server failure, camera issues and other technical problems cropped up affecting operations and causing great inconvenience which have to be addressed at the earliest.
