The Panchkula-headquartered entity is responsible for the development of industrial infrastructure in Haryana. Established in 1967, the HSIIDC is a public limited company that has played a pivotal role in revolutionising the industrial scenario in Haryana by ‘creating the environment where nascent projects are able to attain their fruition and become vibrant industries’.

Key responsibilities of the HSIIDC

Besides setting acts, rules and policies for various purposes that ultimately lead to the development of industrial prospects of the state, the HSIIDC also carries out several other works including infrastructure development and estate management.

Infrastructure development

After land acquisition, the body prepares a detailed plan for its development and executes various works, including construction of roads, provision for water supply, sewage, drainage and power supply. At the secondary level, it then makes arrangements for STP/CETP, development of common parking facilities, plantation / green belts, commercial and institutional sites, etc. The Corporation has developed industrial model townships, industrial clusters and estates at strategic locations and framed guidelines for their governance.

At the tertiary level, the HSIIDC also helps set up:

Estate management

The HSIIDC frames guidelines for the management of industrial estates, prescribes the terms and conditions for the allotment, leasing, transfer, resumption, etc., of plots and all other related processes and procedures to be followed by the developing agencies across Haryana.

Financial support

The HSIIDC provides financial assistance through term loans of up to Rs 2,500 lakhs to companies, for setting up projects in the MSME sector/large-scale sector, except micro-units or for expansion/diversification and modernisation of existing industrial units in Haryana. Service sector entities like hotels, hospitals and warehousing, etc., are also eligible for financing. The HSIIDC offers a wide range of products to its customers including general term loan, equipment finance scheme, line of credit scheme, corporate loan scheme, working capital term loans, etc.

Mega projects by HSIIDC

Apart from being responsible for transforming Gurgaon from a sleepy town to a world-class business district, the agency has also been instrumental in the development of the integrated multi-modal logistics hub in south Haryana, the Gurgaon-Manesar-Bawal MRTS, the Manesar-Bawal Investment Region, the Kundli Manesar-Palwal Expressway and the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor.

The HSIIDC has announced a scheme under which it will allot institutional plots in Manesar, Bawal and Faridabad, to eligible candidates. Registrations for the scheme started on December 5, 2020 and concludes on January 1, 2021. The e-auction would take place on January 8, 2020.

HSIIDC industrial plot auction 2020

The HSIIDC recently concluded an e-auction for the allotment of 40 industrial plots in IMT Rohtak, IE Narwana and IE Sirsa. The e-auction took place on December 21, 2020. The registration for the scheme started on October 19, 2020 and ended on November 18, 2020.
