Construction on Shendra-Bidkin node of DMIC to be completed by August 2019

The Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Limited (DMICDC), on June 29, 2017, said that the construction work in the Shendra-Bidkin node of the DMIC project near Aurangabad in central Maharashtra, is moving at a fast pace.

Aurangabad Industrial Township (AITL), the special purpose company (SPC) set up as a joint venture between the state government and the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT), has issued the Letter of Award (LoA) for projects worth Rs 1,223 crores to L&T, DMICDC said, in a statement.

The Shendra-Bidkin Industrial Area (SBIA) is a large-scale industrial cluster and is planned as a new industrial corridor, extending from the existing Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation’s Shendra industrial park to the town of Bidkin.

AITL has already started allotment of land for various industrial and related activities in the proposed smart city. It is expected that all construction-related activities, will be completed by August 2019, the statement added.
