Wadala has witnessed a gradual transformation, from a suburban location to an important urban location in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Wadala enjoys easy connectivity to all parts of Mumbai, through multiple means of transportation, such as the monorail, buses, local trains and a proposed metro line. With excellent infrastructure, Wadala has emerged as a residential hotspot.

Existing and proposed physical infrastructure

Owing to its strategic location, Wadala enjoys excellent connectivity to all the parts of Mumbai. Maharashtra’s chief minister, recently approved Line-4 of the metro rail project – Wadala-Ghatkopar-Thane-Kasarwadavali. The existing Monorail, also makes transportation easy for daily commuters, while connectivity through buses, is also good. Moreover, Wadala is close to the Eastern Freeway and the Eastern Express Highway.
