Proposals invited for planning infra development in Gurgaon

The Gurgaon Municipal Corporation has said that it has invited proposals for the empanelment of consultants, for the planning and designing of infrastructure development like roads, water supply, storm water drainage, streetlight electrification and horticultural works.

A spokesman of the corporation said the works to be undertaken include tube-well planning and designing and pipeline as well as canal-based supply of drinking water.

Under the scheme for sewerage, all works up to the stage of final disposal are to be undertaken. These would involve sewage treatment plants and recycling of treated water, he said.

Similarly, for storm water drainage, the works to convert the underground pipeline network into open channels and disposal, have been included in the design scheme.

The designing of rainwater harvesting system, water body development and increase in present infrastructure services, have also been included in these works, he said.

He said that the consultant would also be responsible for planning and designing of architecture and structural design of buildings and rejuvenation of ponds in Gurgaon.

Apart from this, a topographical survey of areas, colonies and villages would be carried out. This would also include railway lines, canals, roads, streets, schools and ‘chaupals’, among other features.
