The jamabandi Haryana website has introduced a new tab called ‘Deed Registration Appointment’ on the homepage. This is a direct way to check for appointments. As soon as you click on it, you will be asked to enter your phone number.

This process is more direct. You can select which deed you wish to register, for example, whether a lease, mortgage, partition, partnership, power of attorney, or sale deed, etc. You can select the relevant details from the drop-down menu.

You will then be asked to provide the location of the property – ‘Rural within Abadi Deh’ or ‘Rural outside Abadi Deh’ or Urban within corporation limits’ or ‘Urban outside corporation limits’.

Further details to be provided include sub-location of your property – whether a Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran area or Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation area or old city area, authorised area, licensed colony or whether the property falls under other areas.   • You can procure all information, such as the price of the property as per the collector rate, stamp duty, registration, service fees, etc., from the sub-registrar’s office at the HARIS counter.
  • If the stamp paper value is below Rs 10,000, you can procure it from the stamp vendors. If it exceeds Rs 10,000 you will be required to get it from the treasury office after making the payment at SBI.
  • You can write the document by yourself or hire the services of a writer. Two witnesses would be required while the process is executed. Other documents that you require at this stage include the title deed, jamabandi, digital photograph and plan and map’s copy. You will need to submit these documents, plus the stamp paper at the concerned sub-registrar’s office. Payment of stamp duty and other charges will take place after this.
