[ecis2016.org] The Maharashtra government has said that it is planning to put information regarding the sale of redeveloped buildings of MHADA and the BMC on a digital platform, to check ‘infiltration attempts’ into the buildings
The redeveloped buildings of MHADA and the civic body in Mumbai, would be brought on a single digital platform by linking the documents to Aadhaar, so that information on their sale and purchase could be had and infiltration into them could be stopped, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis told the assembly, on March 20, 2018. He said that currently no information was available regarding the sale of redeveloped buildings of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA), as well as the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

“Therefore, the government plans to bring all these buildings on one single digital platform, so that exact information regarding them and to whom they are transferred can be made available. All information will be available at one point and that will effectively check any infiltration attempt,” Fadnavis said, in response to a query by Shiv Sena MLA Sunil Shinde. In reply to a supplementary query, minister of state for urban development, Ranjit Patil, said a survey would be conducted by the BMC and security guards appointed, to check infiltration attempts into its vacant buildings.
