With an aim to provide ease of doing business in Telangana, the state launched the Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self-Certification System, also known as TS-iPASS, in June 2015, for quick processing of applications and to provide clearance from various departments through a single-window mechanism. Following the success of TS-iPASS, the Urban Development Department also launched a similar system in the state for providing building permissions. Known as the Telangana State Building Permissions and Self Certification System or TS-bPASS, this self-certification system will be used for granting approvals in a more user-friendly way. Initially, the project was launched on a pilot basis but starting June 2021, the system has been rolled out in the entire Greater Hyderabad area.
