How to apply for BDA sites auction?

To apply for BDA e auction, visit the portal  https://eproc.karnataka.gov.in/eprocportal/pages/index.jsp and follow the steps mentioned below:

  • On the home page, click on ‘Auctions’
  • On the next page, select the department as Bangalore Development Authority and auction status as live auction. Then, click on ‘Search’.
  • The page will display the list of sites

Users who wish to participate in the e auction should register themselves on the site by providing relevant details like name, user id, password, email, contact details, PAN, bank details, etc.

  • Select the site number from the list and click on the green icon.
  • Read the terms and conditions carefully and select the right option from yes/no in the next page ‘general conditions of eligibility.’
  • For one site, the auction processing fee is Rs 500 and EMD is Rs 4 lakh. Users can pay the fee through online or offline payment modes.
  • Eligible bidders should upload auction documents like ID proof, address proof, PAN, etc.
  • Complete the declaration and submit the application.
  • In the next step, click on ‘bid’ option and enter the bid amount.

What does the BDA do for the Bangalore metropolitan region?

Administrative Department

The administrative department of the BDA looks after allotment of sites, houses, CA sites and their post-allotment work. It is also responsible for the assessment and collection of property tax in Bengaluru for sites / houses and collection of lease amount from commercial shops.

Engineering Department

Executes various schemes and undertakes infrastructure works. Water supply and drainage work or even the electrification undertaken by the BDA, BWSSB and BESCOM are monitored by the department.

Town Planning Department

This department prepares and revises the Master Plan for the Bengaluru Metropolitan Area, layout plans and also assists the authority.

Land Acquisition Department 

The department works closely with the engineering department, to acquire land that is required for various projects.

Finance Department

As the name suggests, this department advises the authority on various financial issues and is responsible for the maintenance of accounts.

Law Department

The many legal issues and litigations are taken up by the Law Department under the BDA.

Special Task Force Department

The Special Task Force Department or the Vigilance Department is responsible for protecting the properties of the BDA and green belt areas from encroachment and unauthorised constructions.

Estate Section

This department is responsible for management of property records and their monitoring. It also identifies encroachments on authority land and recovers them. Other departments under the department include the public relation wing, EDP cell, forest and horticulture department, etc.
