Shaan and his wife Radhika Mukherjee live in their own palatial abode in Mumbai with their children Soham and Shubh Mukherjee.

Radhika and Shaan own a 4,500-sq ft apartment in Bandra west, which has been done up aesthetically, while keeping simplicity at the forefront. Shaan has already stated that the family has been living in Bandra, one of the posh localities in Mumbai, for a long time and when they started looking for a new home, the criteria was only getting more space in the same locality. The house is located on the seventh floor of Warden Apartments near Turner Road. Shaan has stated that the home has three levels and was a welcome change from the previous two units of 2BHK apartments that the family lived in. Considering that real estate rates vary between Rs 40,000 and Rs 45,000 per sq ft in Bandra, Shaan’s luxurious home could currently be worth around Rs 20.25 crores.

Shaan and Radhika Mukherjee have opted for furniture that does not have any sharp edges, since they have children around. The home has been designed by his childhood friend and comes with an earthly vibe, complete with shades of brown and white alike. The home has a ‘down to earth’ vibe and this is precisely what Shaan desired, as per his own statement. According to the singer, when the home was purchased, it was still in a raw state.

The home opens up to a welcoming lounge area which has a casual vibe. The designer suggested a dedicated area for lounging, to entertain friends who visit. The formal living room is located towards the left side of the main entrance and it comes with soothing and warmer shades of ochre yellow and burnt sienna. There is a massive mirror that greets people when they relax on the elegant and modern-coloured couches here. The dining zone is hidden behind the lovely staircase while also being connected to the kitchen. A white theme is used for doing up the staircase, which also has recessed lighting. The staircase leads up to the master bedroom for the couple along with the room for his children.

The master bedroom sports an uncluttered and clean look and Shaan has jokingly called it the mafia don’s bedroom with its top-end music system facing the bed and the sliding television. The red and white colour combination adds elegance to the master bedroom while the walk-in wardrobes have sliding shutters for a more spartan, yet, glamorous look. Just above the second level comes the terrace, which offers a fabulous view of the skyline of Bandra. It also has a Riyaaz room in a corner.

Shaan rues that the horizon and skyline of Bandra has changed drastically from what it was some years back. He has reminisced about knowing everyone in the locality by their first names, while now they do not even know about the people who are staying in the same building. Yet, he says that Bandra has no match, claiming to be a quintessential Bandra boy who chose to stay back in his favorite locality. He also cites Bandra’s peace, serenity and tranquility, as major reasons for him to stay back.
